August 2014 Party Announcement!

Hey everyone! Megg has officially announced the Frozen party for August on the What's New Blog!

"There have been rumors floating around and some of you may have already seen some confirmation of this month's party.

Chatta's Ski Slope Challenge

Hey everyone! Chattabox has challenged us to a ski slope Olympics!

"G'Day Penguins!

Last weeks DJ Chatta party was jammin'!!! There were some awesome mixes played by all of you and we had a good ol' dance... on the tables... as you do! Don't tell the captain!

This week I'm feeling competitive - so I'm going to be holding Chatta's 'Ski-Slope' Olympics! Come along dressed in your most outrageous ski outfits (think bright colours and funny hats) and meet me at the top of the ski hill for lots of racing and cheering! Don't forget to find some time to practice beforehand... I'm getting pretty good at this whole ski-racing business.

Let's meet at the top of the Ski Slope on the Down Under server Thursday 31st July. Here are the times:

I just grabbed the latest copy of the UK Club Penguin Magazine, hot off the press! And you know me, I always like to give you guys an EXCLUSIVE inside look into the mag before it hits the shelves.

This month it's all about SUMMER HOLIDAAAAAAAAYS! There are some cool features, such as mind-blogging camping holiday puzzles to solve, two EPIC posters, as well as a Beard Battle between Rookie and Sensei - that must be one hairy tale ;)

Let's not forget Cadence's Fashion Tips, which is one of my fave sections. I felt very inspired today and decided that my blue puffle deserved a little makeover... into a MERMAID! What do you think? She seems very happy with her new look, don't you think?

Get in the Mix with Chatta!

Hey everyone! Chattabox has invited us to an awesome DJ party!

Last week we had a puffin' good time at the Puffle Park - I think we set a record for most penguins on the slide at one time! Crazy!

This week I've been mixing it up at the Music Jam party! How much fun is the SoundStudio?! We definitely have a few penguin DJ's in the making. This week I'm holding a DJ Party (omg!) on board the Music Jam Cruise ship - AMAZING! I want you all to come along, play your mixes and have a good dance! Make sure you wear your ultimate Music Jam outfit and bring along your puffles - they have such rockin' dance moves.

Lets meet at the buffet on the Music Jam cruise on the Down Under server on Thursday 22nd July. Here are the times:

Cadence & The Penguin Band Music Jam 2014

Hey everyone! Cadence and The Penguin Band have released a new song for Music Jam 2014, which they're performing. During their breaks, you can find them waddling around the island!

None of them have new player cards, and The Penguin Band don't even have player cards in the new penguin art style. None of them have new background giveaways either.

SoundStudio Guide

Hey everyone! The Music Jam has begun, and with it, a new game, SoundStudio!

Let's begin!

There's an instructions button if you want a simple guide, but otherwise, let's click 'Make Music.'

If you've ever used Garageband before, this is similar to it. So, basically, you have a bunch of sounds in either Pop, Rock, Dance or Dubstep genres. These sounds can either be looped, or played once. Your song can be a maximum of three minutes, and members can record their own songs.

To play a sound, you have to click on it. Loop sounds will continue to play until you click them again, and one-shot sounds will play once, then stop.

So, what you do is while you're recording a song, you activate all the sounds you want in your song while you're recording. When you're finished, and you're a member, you can name your mix, and view it in your saved tracks list.

If you've set your song to sharing, it will play in the Dance Club, along with other penguin's songs.

You can also play your mix in your igloo.

On a side note, if you had any DJ3K songs saved, they're still available to play.

I really like this new game! I think I'll be spending a while creating an awesome rock song! What about you?

Music Jam 2014 Guide

Hey everyone! Get ready to make some music, because Music Jam 2014 has kicked off!

Cadence will give you a short message when you log on for the first time, and she'll give you your checklist.

If the room isn't full, you should find yourself in the awesome Music Cruise boat! If you open your map, you can visit the different rooms of the boat.

You can visit the Pool Deck, The Bridge, and even the Ship's Buffet.

If you head down to the Engine Room, you can grab a free Miner's Helmet.

Now, let's get down to business. Click on the checklist on the top-right corner of your screen.

Each event is unlocked each day. At the moment, only Cadence's performance and the first lot of free items are available; an item for everyone and an item for members only. If you want to try out SoundStudio, you can play it by clicking on the top-left of the screen. On the top of the screen, you can see a countdown that shows who's performing, and how long 'till the next performance. Click 'Go There!' to visit the Main Stage.

There's a sign that tells you who's up, how long 'till the performance and who's up next.

Cadence and the Penguin Band are performing their single 'Best Day Ever.' You can collect their backgrounds by clicking on them, and I think you also get their stamps, too. Let's check out the Dance Club now. If you're on the boat, and want to get to normal Club Penguin, just click the 'Switch to Club Penguin' button on the top-left corner of the map.

As you can see, DJ3K has been replaced by the new SoundStudio! I'll post on how to use it later. If you go to you map again, or visit the Dock, you can see a list of Tour Bus Igloos. You can get onto this list by simply having the Tour Bus Igloo as your current igloo.

You can buy the Tour Bus Igloo from this list if you're a member, and you haven't purchased it already. As usual, there's three new emotes for this party.
