Lets all meet on server Blizzard on Thursday at 4pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time/or 6pm NZ time). If you would like us to visit your igloo, write your name in the comments below and tell us why we should come and check out your Halloween igloo - remember to make sure you have the trick or treat candy pumpkin so we can all collect our candy.

See you Thursday flippered friends.

Can you see anyone you know in the picture? =D Also, you'll notice that the picture is from Squiblet's point of view, not Chattabox. Did Squiblet send in this picture, or is he/she a mod? Well, I'll be there this Thursday. The time in PST is 10pm on Wednesday, because PST is actually eighteen hours behind AEST. See you there! You can view this post here.

"It's Your Birthday" Music Video

Hey everyone! Polo Field has posted the official music video for Club Penguin's new song "It's Your Birthday" with Jordan Fisher on the What's New Blog!

"Hello Penguins!

It's hard to believe it's been 8 whole years! Club Penguin has grown into a truly AMAZING community that I am proud to be a part of. Everything we do wouldn't be possible without the enthusiasm and support of all of you.

To show our appreciation, we've created a special Birthday music video! We asked Club Penguin veteran Jordan Fisher to sing guest vocals on the song (which is available as a free download here.)

We wanted to make this special by featuring YOU -- the Club Penguin community -- in the video. Remember, it's YOU that makes Club Penguin the special place that it is... 365 days a year. So this video is dedicated to YOU -- the Club Penguin players!

Here's to another year of awesomeness! Don't forget to share your most memorable moment from the past 8 years in the comments below, and on behalf of the entire Club Penguin Team...

Waddle on!"

Wow, thank you Polo Field! But everyone who works at Club Penguin also helps make Club Penguin an awesome place! I've enjoyed every single bit of Club Penguin so far, but one of the most memorable moments from that past 8 years for me was meeting Sensei completely by accident at the opening of the Fire Dojo. What about you? You can view this post here.

Exclusive Interview with Jordan Fisher

Hey everyone! Polo Field has posted the interview with Jordan Fisher on the What's New Blog!

"Hey Penguins!

Earlier this week we told you about a brand new song that we're working on called "It's Your Birthday!" We asked our friend Jordan Fisher to sing lead vocals on the new track in honor of Club Penguin's 8th anniversary!

We spoke with Jordan about making music, his favorite Club Penguin memories, and his upcoming volunteer trip to Ecuador.

What are your favorite things about Club Penguin?
Personally... I love the social aspect of the game. The fact that it's truly such a safe way for friends to meet up and play some games together after school is way cool.

How did you get to where you are?
To shorten a VERY long story...I fell in love with theater first. It was something brand new and exciting to me growing up as a gymnast...that was all I knew. As much as I love the sport, I could quickly tell that I was more passionate about performing. Started acting, singing, and dancing simultaneously...met my eventual manager at a workshop in Birmingham, AL (my hometown)...started making trips back and forth between AL and LA auditioning for TV/Film...fell in love with TV/Film...eventually started working on TV/Film...eventually started writing and recording music...bada-bing bada-boom...I now reside in Los Angeles full-time as an actor/artist! Love it dearly. :)

What cool projects are you working on now?
Well, lately, music has been a huge part of my life. I've been in the studio heaps over the last year, writing and recording with some incredible producers.

My debut single "By Your Side' will actually be played for the first time on Radio Disney this Friday! Look out for it. ;)

We hear you're going on a volunteer trip to Ecuador. Could you tell us more about it and how you get involved?
I sure am! I'm SO excited about it. We'll be in Ecuador for eight days working with a beautiful community to help build classrooms, tend to farms, and workshop with artisan groups among many other things. Words can't express how humbled and overjoyed I am to be a part of this experience. My flight couldn't come any sooner!

1999bloo asks: What was your penguin name?
To be honest...I can't remember my old Penguin's name. Although, my NEW Penguin's name is Soraxas! It's a fusion of two characters from my all-time favorite game, Kingdom Hearts. :) Also...just a little trivia...my dog's name is Sora as well!

Srijanrocks2 asks: What was your first ever Club Penguin party?
The Christmas Party in 2005 was my very first party on Club Penguin! It's my favorite Holiday of the year. I actually start listening to Christmas music on Nov. 1st every year to get amped up and in the spirit. :)

Lorenzo31178 asks: What was your favorite party on Club Penguin?
The Teen Beach Summer Jam was super cool to me for obvious reasons. The fact that I played Club Penguin close to the very beginning and then had costumes modeled after my character in "Teen Beach Movie" some years later is still wonderfully strange. Haha. :)

Boba 126 asks: What was it like creating the birthday track for Club Penguin?
It was AWESOME! I got to meet a few kids that day that all play Club Penguin as well. Had a blast!

Tech70 asks: What is your favorite Club Penguin mascot?
SENSEI. My friends and I played this ninja game that we made up pretty frequently. Being the smallest and youngest of my friends at the time, we all thought it would be funny to make me the "ninja master", so I would always walk around with my hands behind my back or with a cool walking stick that I would find calling everyone "grasshopper"...so when I met Sensei in CP for the first time when he was digging out the Dojo, I flipped out!

Ds Fan12 asks: If you could become one of the main Club Penguin characters, who would it be and why?
Jet Pack Guy for a few reasons..
A) He has a jetpack.
B) He ALWAYS has his jetpack (and shades, of course).
C) He seems like a pretty cool guy, but can also take care of business when he needs to.
D) My mode of transportation is my car...his is...A JETPACK!!!

Thanks for answering out questions, Jordan!

Waddle on!

That was a very interesting interview. I'm really looking forward to listening to "It's Your Birthday!" What about you? You can view this post here.

Club Penguin's 8th Anniversary

Hey everyone! Guess what? Exactly eight years ago, Club Penguin was opened to the public! And it's time to celebrate Club Penguin's 8th birthday!!!

The Coffee Shop has been decorated for Club Penguin's anniversary. But you should see inside!

There's lots of items in here from Club Penguin's past. All the party hats, including the extremely rare beta hat, the first items in Club Penguin, different kinds of jackhammers and many other things! If you click the camera in front of the backdrop, you can get a free, awesome This Old Town background!

This is one of the coolest backgrounds! And what would an anniversary be without a anniversary hat? If you click on the party hat on the table, you can get the free 8th Anniversary Hat!

And yes, it's a rainbow hat!!! If you go upstairs to the Book Room, you can check out the new yearbook!

There's pages for all the parties from Halloween last year to the previously gone Medieval Party! There's also a page at the back of the yearbook signed by all of the mascots!

Also, if you mouse over Aunt Arctic's name above her message, you'll find a secret message from The Director!

It's been an amazing eight years. I may have not been around for all of them, but I've enjoyed every single one of the years I've been on Club Penguin. HAPPY EIGHTH BIRTHDAY CLUB PENGUIN!!!

Kid President and Socktober

Hey everyone! Kid President has made a very special guest blog post telling us about Socktober!

"To all my Club Penguin friends!

I'm Kid President. I like to dance. I want to help make the world more awesome. You might have seen my videos online or maybe even watched them in school. I'm writing because I love Club Penguin! You guys know how to make cool things happen.

I'm declaring this month SOCKTOBER! and I need your help.

What if we got 1 million people to help the homeless? Every night there are nearly 600,000 people who have to sleep on the streets in our country and it's about to get really cold. That's not okay! We can help them.

See if you and your family can work together to collect new socks and other simple everyday things your homeless neighbors might need. Collect them all by October 31 and deliver them to the local shelter in your town. Kids all over the world are getting involved! Can't collect socks? We're also working to raise money to help our friend Aaron build a safe place for women and kids who are homeless in Little Rock, Arkansas.

We want to show the world what awesome looks like! If you and your family decide to help out with SOCKTOBER, we want to know! Have your parents email a photo of your donation to socktober@soulpancake.com, along with your penguin name. I'll send a list of the penguins who donated to the Club Penguin Team, and they'll give you a special rare item for donating: the Green Bunny Slippers! How awesome is that?

There's lots of people I could ask for help, but I can't think of a better group than my friends at Club Penguin. Let's make this the best Socktober ever!

Together we can give the world a reason to dance!

-Kid President"

I think this is a truly great cause to donate to. Unfortunately, there are a number of homeless people on the street. We can at least help them. You can view this post here.

Hey everyone! With Polo Field's big announcement on Club Penguin's 8th anniversary, it reminded me of something I saw in this week's newspaper. Take a look!

Club Penguin Anniversary Special Announcement

Hey everyone! Polo Field has posted some info on Club Penguin's upcoming 8th anniversary!

"Hello Penguins!

It's almost been 8 whole years since Club Penguin launched. Can you believe it? To celebrate, we'll be releasing a Happy Birthday music video! One that you can share all 365 days of the year - how awesome is that?

That's not all! This will be more than your regular-old Happy Birthday tune, it's going to be a brand new Club Penguin original! I've had a listen to it and I've gotta say it's pretty catchy. The best part? It features Jordan Fisher, who you may know from Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie.

Fun fact: he also used to play Club Penguin!

We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Jordan. Especially since he's taking some time to answer some questions from you - the Club Penguin community!

Here are a few questions we'd like to ask him:

1. What are your favorite things about Club Penguin?
2. How did you get to where you are, and what cool projects are you working on now?
3. We hear you're going on a volunteer trip to Ecuador. Could you tell us more about it and how you got involved?

Now it's your turn! Have any questions you'd like to ask Jordan? Write them in the comments below and we'll pick a few more for Jordan to answer in an upcoming guest blog post!

Until then... Waddle on!

Monstrous UK Magazine News

Hey everyone! Daffodaily5 has posted some info on a Club Penguin competition for UK players on the What's New Blog!

"Hiya!

So you like monsters, huh? Well SO DO I! It's one of the many reasons I totes love Halloween. Which is why I was so excited to hear from our magazine team when they told me they're running a wicked competition for all our super talented artists in the UK. Intrigued? Yup, I was too.

Basically, it goes like this; find the Make-a-Monster Contest page in the latest issue of the UK CP mag (psssst! It's page 15!) and draw your very own monster creation! When you're happy with your scary sketch, ask your parents to send it over to the team (using the details at the bottom of the page) and you will be in for a chance to win a 12 month membership! Ace!

Here's my attempt at a freaky self portrait... :\

Have fun drawing your monster! Good luck! :)

Wow, that's a really good drawing! Well, good luck to everyone who enters the competition! You can view this post here.

Beware the Trick or Treat Door + Free Ghost Costume

Hey everyone! Daffodaily5 has posted some info on how to get a free ghost costume on the What's New Blog!

"Mwahaha-hiya!

The Halloween Party has started! Hooray! Sorry, I mean, WoOoOoOooray! Check out this video from the UK team (made by my good friend Mr Slumpy) to give you an idea of the spooky weirdness going on in the Brighton office recently. Make sure you watch till the end to find out how our UK players can get a seriously-spooky ghost costume for their penguins!

Gooooood luuuuuuuck! Mwahahahaha! LOL!

Byeee!

-Club Penguin Team"

Wow, Daffodaily5 was starting to scare me there for a bit. You can view this post here. I'm not sure if this is for UK players only, but I managed to get the ghost costume code without any regional problems. So this is how you get the free ghost costume.

Step 1: Go to http://www.disney.co.uk/disney-games/
Step 2: Scroll down the page until you see this.

Step 3: Click on the door handle. But beware, instead of getting the treat, you might be tricked instead!

Just keep clicking on the door handle until you see this.

Step 4: Go to http://play.clubpenguin.com/#/redeem, log in a and click "I've got a code."
Step 5: Either copy and paste the code by clicking "Copy code" on the game and pasting it in the enter code bar or type "GHOSTTOT" into the enter code bar.

Congratulations! You've unlocked your very own free ghost costume! I think since this year there's no ghosts, Club Penguin have given us a free ghost costume to make up for that.

Halloween Party 2013 Guide

Hey everyone! Beware, the Halloween Party has begun!

Yeah, I hope nothing bad happens... Anyway, let's check out the island!

This is probably the best I've ever seen Club Penguin decorated for Halloween! There's graveyards, haunted houses and spooky swamps!

To get started, click on the candy bag in the top right corner of your screen.

There's three types of candy and three candy in each section. The Full-Moon Fireballs will turn you into a werewolf.

Fang Fudgies will turn you into a vampire.

And the Zombie Zingers will turn you into a zombie.

If you collect all nine candies, you unlock a special candy! So, remember that jack-o'-lantern furniture item? Not only are they in penguin's igloos, but they can now be found all over the island!

Click on them and it'll bring up some candy!

You can choose three candies by clicking on the pink, orange or blue candies. After you've picked three, they'll reveal what they have inside them.

You'll either get a number or Spectral Sweet. If you click back on your candy bag, you can look at your sweets.

Each time you get a Spectral Sweet, it adds one to your total count for that particular sweet. If you eat a Full-Moon Fireball, you turn into a frighting werewolf!

If you press W, you roll over.

And if you press D, you howl.

If you take the top Full-Moon Fireball, you transform into a black werewolf, the middle one transforms you into a brown werewolf and the bottom one transforms you into a blue werewolf. If you eat a Fang Fudgie, you'll turn into a scary vampire!

If you press W, you hide yourself under your wing.

And if you press D, you turn into a Puffle bat!

If you eat the top Fang Fudgie, you turn into a white vampire. If you eat the middle one, you turn into a white vampire with black wings and if you eat the bottom one, you turn into a white vampire with brown wings. If you eat a Zombie Zinger, you turn into a scary zombie!

If you press W, you moan.

And if you press D, you and ghosts rise out of the ground!

If you get a numbered candy, that's the amount of candy you earn! You can use candy to buy items out of the Halloween catalog. To get there, click "Go to Catalog" in your sweets list or click the tombstone in the bottom right corner of your screen.

The items in the purple goo can be bought by everyone and the items on the tombstones are for members only. If you have enough candy for a item, you can buy it. If you click on the second tombstone, you can see more items.

You can get the free Pumpkin Lid Puffle hat as many times as you want, but it's for members only. If you collect all nine types of candy, you get the Wrapper Head item!

There's also six new Halloween emotes! There's a vampire smiley, jack o' lantern smiley, candy, ghost, bat and werewolf scratch emote.

This party encourages you to visit other penguin's igloos. If you click the sign in the top right corner of the map, it brings up a list of igloos that are open to visit.

To be featured on the list, you have to be a member and have to have the special jack o' lantern item placed in your igloo.

Phew! That's the Halloween Party! I do miss the quests, but I think this is one awesome party! What do you think?
