Operation Blackout sneak peek

Hey everyone! Spike Hike has tweeted a sneak peek of operation blackout!

Ok, lets analyze the image. Firstly, you can see glasses. Which penguin in known for wearing glasses? Aunt Arctic and Gary. And since this is in EPF HQ, it's obviously not Aunt Arctic. Secondly, you can see shapes in the glasses lenses which are smashed. The image in the right is shadowed, but the image on the left isn't. Conclusion: The image in the left shows a penguin getting dragged away by Herbert. Herbert has somehow broken into EPF HQ and kidnapped Gary! And Dot's next! We better warn her!

100th video

Hey everyone! Club Penguin has uploaded their 100th video!

This is a short video, but it's really cool! I love the special effect with the guy on the left pulling the words "100th" and "Video" out of his pocket and ear. Congratulations on 100 videos Club Penguin!

Introducing: Spike Hike

Hey everyone! Billybob is moving on from Club Penguin, but someone else is taking his place!

"Hey Penguins!

Spike Hike here. My real name is Chris Heatherly, and as you may have heard last week, I'm stepping into Lane's big shoes. You probably don't know me, but I've been working and playing on Club Penguin for a long time!

I first met the Club Penguin Team in 2007 when I worked for Disney Toys. When I first came to Penguin, I fell in love with what the team was doing. Together we worked on the first Penguin toy line. Billybob and I got to launch the toys in the biggest penguin party ever in New York City! We had Club Penguin projected onto the Jumbotron so that kids from around the world could join the party.

As a dad, I've been playing Club Penguin with me three kids for years. My twins even had a Club Penguin birthday party and I dressed up as Herbert. Herbert has stolen the puffles and the kids had to throw "snowballs" at him and get him to drop the sack of puffles. The kids tackled me to the ground and pelted me with snowballs!

Lane and I became really good friends and talked a lot about his vision for Club Penguin. When he asked me to join Club Penguin it was a dream come true! For the last year and a half, I've been able to work on parties, penguin shorts and music videos. As a long time player and dad, Club Penguin is very special to me.

As Billybob said in his farewell post, one thing about Club Penguin will never change - it has always been about you guys and always will be.

Until next time... Waddle on!"

Welcome to the Club Penguin team Spike. I can't wait to see more of your posts.

clubherbert.com updated!

Hey everyone! clubherbert.com has been updated!

The updates: Dot's picture has been added to the wall. A white string is tied to the two pins holding up the photos and the Everyday Phoning Facility has been targeted on Herbert's computer. November is coming up fast, so Herbert's planning fast. His plans are probably going to start coming into effect soon. You can check out clubherbert.com here

New Horizons: A brief history of Club Penguin Part 1

Hey everyone! Part 1 of the Club Penguin documentary is out!

This part shows a brief history of things like Penguin Chat and the start of Club Penguin. I didn't even know Experimental Penguins existed. This also has views from the creators of Club Penguin on how they started. But some of the best things about this video is the sneak peeks. If you go to 3:12, on the wall is sneak peeks of Operation Blackout.

And at the end starting from 3:54 you can see sneak peeks of the Beach, Gift Shop, or Clothes Shop, Pizza Parlor, Snow Forts, Town, Plaza and Dock.

I actually learnt a lot that I didn't know about Club Penguin from this video. And I wonder when the new rooms will arrive?

You decide: Costumes

Hey everyone! Polo Field has posted a You Decide post on the What's New Blog!

"Hey there, Penguins!

The team's been busy working on new party concepts and costumes. So I'm pretty stoked to give you guys the opportunity to decide on an upcoming costume!

Check out the image below, and lets us know which one's your favorite!

I'd also love to hear your theories about what these items are for. Leave a comment below and lets us know your best guesses!

Waddle on!"

You can see the post and vote on the new costume here. I like Options 2 and 3, but I'd have to choose 3 because it has a sort of leader look to it. I think these costumes might be for some sort of Viking party next year? We'll just have to wait and see.

More Operation Blackout sneak peeks

Hey everyone! Polo Field has tweeted two new Operation Blackout sneak peeks.

The first picture looks like a jungle. Maybe that's where Herbert's base will be? And the second picture looks like a message from G when he gets kidnapped by Herbert. This looks exciting.

New field op

Hey everyone! The Halloween parties mysteries are starting to become clearer, and G wants to investigate more. The field op is at the Mansion Attic.

It's a direct the computer chip mission.

When you finish the mission, you get this message from G.

So when all the bad ghosts are captured, the party will end. I hope all the bad ghosts never get captured. I love this party! But all things must end unfortunately.

Happy77 leaving

Hey everyone. Unfortunately, Happy77 is leaving as well as Billybob. This is the post that let us all know.

"Greetings Penguins!

Happy77 here. It's almost Club Penguin's anniversary. Hard to believe that Club Penguin is almost 7 years old already!

I'm writing this post to let you know that I'll also be moving on from Club Penguin. I'll be spending my time raising my children. Who knows? Maybe one day my kids will grow up to be bloggers, too. :)

I've had an amazing time here at Club Penguin. Like Billybob, you're the reason I've done this for so long. Polo Field and Businesmoose have been helping me since I first started blogging in 2008, so I know you're in good hands.

Thanks for being so supportive, and for the great memories.

And as always...
Waddle on! :)"

So Happy77 is leaving as well as Billybob. Looks like Polo Field and Businesmoose will become the new Billybob and Happy77. XD. Well, good luck Happy77, and I'm sure everyone else will miss you. I know I will. You can view the post here.

Club Penguin Year Book 2011-2012

Hey everyone! I wasn't able to post about the Anniversary Party because I was writing the Halloween Party guide which is, if you have a look, pretty long. But I can post about the new yearbook.

The yearbook has all the major events of Club Penguin from the Halloween party last year to the Fall Fair this year. These are the pages.

To all the penguins that made out seventh year amazing-you ROCK! Flip through these pages and celebrate the non-stop excitement...

OCTOBER 2011 We put on our party hats to celebrate 6 years of Club Penguin! Then it was time to Trick or Treat! We crept through the Dark Chamber and snuck around the island on a haunted hunt for Candy Ghosts. If you click on the green Candy Ghost, the Crystal Ball pin appears.

NOVEMBER 2011 Elements collided in an awesome battle-Fire vs. Water! Together, we changed the weather! While Fire Ninjas lit up the sky, Water Ninjas summoned stormy rain clouds. Electric! If you roll your mouse over Sensei, a speech bubble appears over him saying 'Impressive skills, my students. And if you click the beak of the water ninja penguin, the Blue Fish pin appears.

DECEMBER 2011 Your generosity was inspiring! We protected endangered wildlife, provided medical care to kids, and built safe spaces like schools, libraries and playgrounds. Then we got into the holiday spirit with 12 Days of Gifts. If you roll your mouse over the gingerbread penguin, a speech bubble appears over him saying "Don't eat me!' Also, if you click the star on top of the Christmas tree, the Reindeer pin appears.

JANUARY 2012 When half the island sunk, we discovered an underwater city. We snorkeled passed mystical mermaids and fearsome sharks! Daring divers teamed up to navigate a watery maze. If you roll your mouse over the submarine penguin, which is actually Rookie, a speech bubble appears over him saying "Too many anvils. My bad! But we got an underwater expedition! So that's cool, right?' And if you click the pink puffle, it swims away revealing the Conch Shell pin.

FEBRUARY 2012 Fashion forward models owned the runway, judges gave rave reviews, bodyguards controlled the crown and paparazzi captured all the action. Rockhopper called us aboard the Migrator to embark on a pirate quest! We scavenged supplies from remote islands to help our Captain build a beacon. If you roll your mouse over the picture of Cadence, a speech bubbles appears over it saying "'Sup Fashionistas!" Also, if you click the hat of the penguin on the runway, the Camera pin appears.

MARCH 2012 We swapped places with puffles! At the Puffle Play Zone we transformed to explore the island through the eyes of our furry pets. We dressed up in big puffle costumes. And gave our puffles awesome new hats! If you click the red balloon that the penguin in the red puffle costume is holding, it bursts and the Cake pin appears.

APRIL 2012 We went in the Zany Dimension, and turned HUMUNGOUS to teeny tiny in the zany tube. Everyone dressed up as boxes. Box party! Then the Snow Forts transformed into an amazing Earth Day habitat! If you click the pink button next to the tubes, the pink tube shoots out the Easter Basket pin.

MAY 2012 Huzzah! Fearless knights embarked on an epic journey to defeat the evil dragon, Scorn. And we were rewarded with a Magical Sky Kingdom! If you roll your mouse over the blue light ball in the next picture, a picture of Gary appears with a speech bubble saying "I observed a remarkably high velocity, astronomically-charged meteor in the telescope, and calculated a 99.97% probability that it was headed straight for us." And if you click the slingshot of the blue penguin, it shoots a blue light ball at Scorn, revealing the Black Helm pin.

JUNE 2012 Heroes! Villains! Citizens! We chose our sides in the battle between good and evil. We suited up like Hawkeye, Ironman and Black Widow. Robbers robbed the band, Cops mad arrests. And Hulks SMASHED! If you roll your mouse over the picture of the cop and robber, a speech bubble appears over it saying "You're under arrest! C'mon, let me out!" Also, if you click the shadow of the Destructobot, the Supervillain pin appears.

JULY 2012 Cadence kicked off the Ultimate Jam with the release of her first hit single-The Party Starts Now! The Penguin Band rocked on stage. And two guest star dancers showed up! If you roll your mouse over Cadence, a speech bubble appears over saying "5, 4, 3, 2, 1... The party starts NOW!" Also, if you click the green earphone on Cadence, a purple puffle hops away revealing the Dub-Step Puffle pin.

AUGUST 2012 Yar har! It was a fruit frenzy when Rockhopper arrived with tasty cargo and an ancient totem... that be cursed! It took everyone's efforts to satisfy BIG BIG KAHUNA's appetite. Then we smashed the rest of the fruit with out butts in Smoothies Smash! If you roll your mouse over the picture of Rockhopper, a speech bubble appears saying "Avast! These smoothies be mighty refreshin'!" And if you click the banana next to the orange penguin, it flips, then turns into the Banana Peel pin.

SEPTEMBER 2012 We raised the Big Top for The Fair! We played carnival games, chose prize cows, and cruised the island in out bumper cars! If you roll your mouse over Rookie, a speech bubble appears next to him saying "And this time I didn't mess it up." Also, if you click the yellow balloon Rookie's holding, it floats away revealing the Triple Scoop pin.

Well, that's all the pages. Well, not quite. Club Penguin have added in two more pages saying which mascot is most likely to succeed at something, like in a school yearbook. You can also see their signatures here, although Rookie has a picture of a smiley face sun instead of his signature.

Rockhopper: Most likely to style his beard in the shape of a pineapple. Yar har!
Aunt Arctic: Most likely to get the scoop.
Gary: Most likely to save the island with a Milkshakerocketscopter3000.
Rookie: Most likely to order too many anvils and sink half the island.
Cadence: Most likely to start a scene! LOL!
Sensei: Most likely to win Sensei of the year.

Franky: Most likely to invent a new instrument.
Petey K: Most likely to start a food fight.
Stompin Bob: Most likely to rock the house!
G Billy: Most likely to call you 'Dude'.
PH: Most likely to make a major puffle discovery.
Dot: Most likely to go unnoticed. On Purpose.

I wonder why they included Dot? Maybe it shows she's a future mascot, or maybe the reference to 'going unnoticed on purpose" because we haven't really seen her throughout the year. Or maybe because of this!

If you roll your mouse over the word "unnoticed' in Dot's description, Dot's picture changes to a picture of the Director, and the description changes to one about the Director.

Director: Most likely to be anonymous.

But notice how Dot's signature is still there. I wonder... Well, I have really enjoyed the year, even though it's not over yet. We still have Operation Blackout and the Holiday party! Well, from me, HAPPY SEVENTH BIRTHDAY CLUB PENGUIN!!!
