Halloween Party 2012 guide

Hey everyone! The Halloween party has started!

This is one of the biggest parties of the year, and definitively one of my favorites. So where to start? Well, there aren't any free items except for in the Haunted Mansion, so lets start with the movies. The Night of the Living Sled movies are like a tradition at the Halloween parties, and you can view all three of them at this Halloween party. Night of the Living Sled 1 is at the Coffee Shop.

Night of the Living Sled 2 is at the Dance Lounge.

And Night of the Living Sled 3 is at the Lighthouse.

You can earn the Trick or Treat stamp at this party by seeing 10 Trick or Treat igloos on one server. Unfortunately the Trick or Treat igloo isn't available at this party so lets hope penguins from last year will have the igloo open.

And that's basically it. Now, onto Gariwald VIII's Haunted Mansion!

Click "I Dare" and you will teleport to the Forest, and you will see a mysterious Haunted Mansion!

Lets go inside!

S8s2 will be showing this because he hasn't done it yet. Once you're inside, click on the key in the top right corner of your screen.

You can tell what the keys look like by the shadow of the keys in this picture. Roll over the shadow of each key for a clue of where they are.

:Key #1

Hmmm... So that means the key should be right in front of us. Aha! It is! Click on the key on the wall in the first room of the Haunted Mansion.

:Key #2

Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure this out. The key's somewhere in a cemetery. But where could it be? If you want to take the easy way, click on the shadow of the second key and it will take you straight to the cemetery. But if you want to go the long way... Well, it's not that long, but take the left door in the first room of the mansion, then click the place between the two bat statues that light up green in the first part of the cemetery.

Are those tentacles? Anyway, just click on the tombstone with the key on it to get the second key.

:Key #3

Maybe the third key is in a dining room? To get their easily just click on the shadow of the third key. But if you want to take the long way... Go through the door on the right in the cemetery and then go through the door on the right in the second room of the Haunted Mansion.

Where could it be? Maybe under the big silver platter? Yes, that's it!

:Key #4

So the fourth key is in some sort of library. To get there, just click on the shadow of the fourth key or take the long way which is... Go to the right of the dining room and go up the staircase. You'll end up on a overhang. Now where could that key be?

Well, maybe it's in the book in the picture frame with the key on the front? Yep, it is.

:Key #5

So this is some sort of game to whoever set this quest. So, where could the final key be? To get to it easily, just click on the shadow of the fifth key. Or to go the long way... Well, we're stuck on a ledge with only one way to go: back. But wait, what's always behind a large painting in scary movies? A secret passageway. And how do you open it? With a hidden button. What's that knight statue?

Aha! If you click on the knight statue, it reveals a secret button. Click on it and...

Yes! A secret passageway! Where does it lead? A hallway? If you go along it and...

A attic? Now, where could that key be? Is that light coming off that painting? Lets click on it...

Yes! Last key!

Lets unlock that trunk! But first, lets take a look through the big telescope.

Last time a telescope was at a party, it gave a clue to the next party. I wonder if AHHH!!!

Phew, just a puffle bat. But what's that?

Apparently it's called Time Trekker, one of Gary's inventions. I wonder if it will have some part in Operation Blackout? Anyway, now lets open that trunk! If you haven't already earned the scavenger hunt stamp, you should have just got it. Now, lets see what's inside the trunk.

So if you put these Ghost Goggles on, you can see ghosts? Lets put them on.

Ahhhh! Ghosts! And ghostly arrows! Run!

A ghostly door? Probably not safe, but lets go Ahhh! That axe nearly got me!

:O The ghost of Gariwald VIII!

Well, I could never resist a free background. But what is this place?

This machine is for members only. Lets go in.

Gariwald VIII pulls a switch and the machine starts whirring and bubbling!

BOO!!!

I'm a ghost! But what's this in the top right corner?

Hmm... So if you're a ghost and you dance in each of the rooms listed, you can get either a Ectoplasmic Pit, Headstone or Vampire Throne. But every time you get one of the items, you have to complete the challenge again to get another of it. They're all furniture items.  Lets try pressing "D" in this room.

AHH! Another ghost. But wait...

Looks like if you dance as a ghost you turn into a scary ghost!

And your player card changes as well!

You can change back to a penguin using the button on the ghost player card. In the Ghost Lab there's also a catalog.

Non-members can get a free Ghost Sheet costumes even though there's been two free codes for it already. Members can also get the rest of the clothes in the catalog. There are no secret items in here.

If you put on the ghost hunter costume, ghost goggles and nothing else and throw a snowball at one of the candy ghosts, it catches the ghost!

You also get one coin for every ghost you catch. Well, that's it. I really like this party. It's one of the best Halloween parties there has been! Enjoy!
