Sled Racer - Behind-The-Scenes...

Hey everyone! Club Penguin has uploaded a behind-the-scenes video for their latest app, Sled Racer, on their Youtube channel!

Cool! It's interesting to see that they were originally going to go with a collect coins as your score system, but then they changed to a distance equals score system. Which scoring system would you prefer? I think I prefer the one we have already.

Elsa's Ice Palace Now Open - Frozen Party

Elsa's Ice Palace Performance

Hey everyone! The Ice Palace is now open!

You can get to it by either going through the Snowflake checklist, or by clicking on it on the map. It's right next to the Stadium on the map.

When you first go there, Elsa will welcome you and give you some free Frozen themed furniture items! Awesome!

The timer on the left hand side counts down to Elsa's performance. When it hits zero, Elsa will appear!

If you click on Elsa while she's performing, you can get her free background.

That's that Frozen Party! What's been your favorite thing about it? I have to admit, I really like the option to freeze certain rooms, more than I expected to like it!

Snowman Puffles

Hey everyone! The Frozen Party is here, and with it, the newest edition to the Puffle family!

If you're a member, you can adopt a Snowman Puffle by collecting all the hidden snowflakes around the island. In a way, Snowman Puffles are quite alike the Border Collie and Tabby Cat Puffles, because instead of being able to play with them and feed them like the other Puffles, you have to take them to the Puffle Hotel to fill up their stats.

Snowman Puffles have a really cool dancing style! If you dance with one, they'll remove their nose and stem and wave them in the air.

As with all the other Puffles, Snowman Puffles can also help you find hidden treasure by digging it up!

I really like the Snowman Puffles. I wouldn't say it's my favorite Puffle so far, but it's one of my favorites. Do you like the Snowman Puffles?

The Frozen Party is On Now!

Hey everyone! Polo Field has officially announced the opening of the Frozen Party on computers and iOS!

"The Frozen Party has now started... on both computers AND the Club Penguin iOS app!

We've had a lot of fun so far collecting snowflakes, transforming into Marshmallows, and freezing and unfreezing all the party rooms!

Frozen Party Guide 2014

Hey everyone! Put your snow shoes and warm mittens on, because Frozen has come to Club Penguin!

When you first log in, Anna and Elsa will give you some info about the party and your snowflake checklist.

Club Penguin has been transformed into a winter wonderland, with snow and frost covering everything! Let's check out the snowflake icon in the top right corner of the screen.

So, the main goal of this party is to collect the snowflakes that have been hidden around the island. Firstly, everyone can unlock the Ice Palace igloo by clicking the "collect" button underneath the Ice Palace igloo image.

Now, for the snowflakes. There are three snowflakes in some of the rooms that you have to find. When you collect all three, non-members can collect one free item, and member can get both from that area's rewards. As you collect snowflakes, the meter down the bottom will slowly fill up. When it completely fills, the rewards will become unlocked! The first reward is for everyone, and the rest are for members only. Get ready, because here's the location of all the snowflakes in each room!

Phew! Once you've found all the snowflakes, everyone can get the free Ice Party Hat.

If you're a member, you can:

Freeze rooms by throwing snowballs: 

Adopt your own Snowman Puffle: 

Transform into Olaf: 

And transform into Marshmallow: 

Both Olaf and Marshmallow have their own special dance, wave and snowball throwing action. As Anna and Elsa mentioned, if you use the heart emote a couple of times in an icy room, you can thaw it out.

As usual, there are three special emotes: a frozen smiley face, a music note emote and a snowflake emote.

At the end of the snowflake list in the snowflake checklist is a timer, counting down the days until Elsa will be performing at the Ice Palace.

Frozen Igloo Music

Hey everyone! Club Penguin have added some new igloo music to our igloo music list from Frozen!

The new tracks are: Let It Go, In The Summer, Frozen Wonder, Bretzel Bash, Twelfth Fish Theme, The Palace of Ice Crystals and Frozen Ambience. Which track is your favorite? I really like The Palace of Ice Crystals, because it reminds me of the 2012 Holiday Party.

Polo Field Takes the Ice Bucket Challenge!

Hey everyone! Polo Field was nominated for the ALS ice bucket challenge, and Megg has posted the video of him completing it on the What's New Blog!

"As some of you may know, Spike Hike nominated me to pour a bucket of ice cold water over Polo Field. This is all part of the "Ice Bucket Challenge" that many are taking to help create awareness and find a cure for ALS (otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.)

ALS effects the way people move, meaning their bodies will gradually become paralyzed because their muscles no longer work.

The challenge is to donate to the cause at alsa.org within 24 hours of being nominated or... get ice water dumped on you. We're doing both! We're challenging the Club Penguin office to donate to this worthy cause, AND we're taking the Ice Bucket Challenge...

In other news... Spike Hike is hosting an ALS Awareness Party today at 1:00pm PST on desktop computers. Log on to the server Fog at 1pm to join the fun! Everyone is invited to log on and help spread awareness!

Furniture & Igloo Catalog August 2014

Hey everyone! If it's been getting a bit warm in your igloo lately, you can cool it down with August's frozen furniture catalog!

There aren't any new igloos, but that's probably because members can get the Ice Palace igloo during the Frozen Party. There are some pretty cool furniture items in here though!

There aren't any new hidden items. All this furniture is pretty awesome, but I'm going to wait until we get the Ice Palace igloo to decorate my igloo. What about you?

Build a Snowman Puffle? - Frozen Party Sneak Peek

Hey everyone! Polo Field has posted another sneak peek of the upcoming Frozen Party!

"Last week we showed you some of the new interactivity for the upcoming Frozen Party.

 We've got one more exciting thing to confirm... Members will be able to create their very own snowman puffle!

Sled Racer Guide

Hey everyone! Club Penguin's newest app has been released.

Yes, Sled Racer is now available on the app store, and I have to say, it's one of Club Penguin's coolest apps yet! From the start menu, you can look at some of Disney's other apps, and choose whether to mute the music, sound effects, or reset your high score. Let's look at the gameplay!

The game is pretty easy to play. Hold down on the left side of the screen to move to the left.

Hold down on the right of the screen to move to the right.

And tap both side of the screen at the same time to jump.

While you're doing this, you have to avoid different obstacles, such as logs, anvils, and even cacti!

If you slide over an icy patch, you'll gain a massive speed boost, which will last for a short period of time.

The game will keep on going until you crash.

The goal of this game is to get the biggest high score that you can!

Even though you don't earn coins, I think this is an awesome game, and a great way to pass the time if you can't play Club Penguin on the web. Do you like Sled Racer?
