To find the egg, dig for it in the Dino Dig game.
Once you find the egg, you can collect the special item that's unlocked once you find the egg. Equip the egg and bring it to the Volcano.
To hatch the egg, walk it to the section of rock that is red hot.
Do this three times and your egg will hatch!
Name your new Dino Puffle and adopt it!
You now have a Purple T-Rex Dino Puffle!
