Hey everyone! The last party of the year, the Holiday Party, has begun!
When you first log on, Rockhopper will give you a quick overview of the party.
I really like the Holiday Party, with the Christmas decorations, fun activities, and of course, the ability to help others. And this year's Holiday Party is no different!
As you can see, it's the second day of the Holiday Party for me, and there's already been over 6,000,000,000 coins donated to Coins for Change! That's astounding! Now, let's take a look around! Firstly, click on the present on the bottom right of your screen.
This catalog is for members only, but it features many different Christmas costumes, including a Toy Robot costume, Holiday Conductor costume and even a Jack in the Box costume!
If you want to express how much you love Christmas to everyone, there's three new Holiday emotes; A steam whistle, present and Coins for Change emote!
If you head over to the Ski Lodge, and click on the camera, you can get the free Big Cozy Chair background!
Now for the biggest part of the Holiday Party, Coins for Change!
In the Snow Forts, you can enter the Train Station. Inside, there's, well, a train station and a coin total counter. See the half coins, half Earth icon with the fish on it? Click on it.
You can see the Coins for Change meter on the left. This shows how many coins that have been donated, along with the counter on the right. As the meter fills up to certain points, new items are unlocked. If you click on one of the icons, it tells you what the coins are going towards.
If enough coins have been donated, the icon will be ticked, and you can get the free item. At the moment, there's three more causes to be unlocked. You can donate towards these causes by clicking the donate button, and choosing an amount to donate.
If you donate for the first time at this party, you get the free 2013 CFC Donation Pin.
From the Coins for Change menu, if you're a member, you can also buy a train!
There four trains you can purchase: The Holiday Express, The Puffle Premier, The Sweet-Tooth Special and The Rainbow Zephyr. On the right is instruction on how to use a train. First, equip the train of your choice.
If you're a member, go to somewhere with lots of penguins and press "D." A train icon will appear above you. Other penguins, including non-members, can click that icon to join your train.
When you get someone to join your train, head to a train station either at the Dock, Snow Forts or Forest.
You have to wait a bit, but eventually you'll set out on the train tracks!
You can anyone on your train can throw snowballs at the balloons, stocking and presents in the air, and you will earn 5 coins, I think, for each one you hit.
You can also get off at any one of the stations throughout the trip. Once you finish, it'll bring you back to the station, and it'll show you how many coins you earned for Coins for Change.
Finally, if you go to your map, you can see a list of igloos that have the train stations in them.
