Monsters University Party Guide

Hey everyone! The Monsters University party has arrived!

As soon as you log in, you can get a cap for which team you are going for. Or you could just get them all.

Before we start scaring, let's take a tour of the Monsters University!

These are the gates to Monsters University. These are the gates that all young monsters have to pass through on their first day.

This is the university courtyard. Here you can play some music, paint a picture or gaze at the starts with the telescope! Let's take a left into the big building.

This is the lecture hall. This is where monsters come to learn tips and tricks about the art of scaring, although in my experience, I found learning to scare was easier if you just jump in and give it a go instead of listening to a teacher talk about scaring for 70 minutes. Now before we check out that other building in the courtyard, let's check out the fraternity houses! To get there's a little bit tricky if you don't know where it is, but all you have to do is take a right turn from the Snow Forts or a left from the Plaza. It's in between them.

Team OK's house feels really homely, and it looks really well kept and cared for. You can tell these guys are trying their best to be the best!

Team ROR's house, or should I say mansion, is really fancy and new. It's very clean, but I can imagine these guys having butlers cleaning it for them. These guys have money to burn, and are a deadly threat in the competition.

Team PNK's house reminds me of a tea house. Fancy, posh and has great food! These guys have a very pretty and charming house, but underneath that is probably a terrifying scare.

And saving best (he he he) for last, team JOX's house! Well, it isn't exactly the best. I must have been away for that party, because it looks like these guys threw one big bash and when they woke up, they probably said we'll tidy this mess up later. But later will never come... But now, it's time for some scaring! Let's go to that big building on the right at the courtyard!

These are the scare grounds! This is where the main competition is taking place! In the right hand corner there's a leader board, with the teams in either 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th place. (Unfortunately) It looks like team OK's coming first! So if you want to get your team to the top, or keep number one place, let's get scaring! Click the Scare Challenge booth!

This is where you can play the new scare mini-game and check the exact scores for the leader board. It looks like team JOX's coming last. By a lot. But I'm sure we'll come back. So pick your team and let's get scaring!

The game is very simple, which makes it very fun. You use the arrow keys to move left, right and jump, or you can press the space bar to jump. If you press either the space bar or up arrow key twice, you perform a double jump and if you hold it you descend slowly. So you start of with three lives and a timer. You have to dodge and duck over and under toys to get to the dummy penguin. If you hit a toy, you lose time. If you lose all your time, you lose a life. Once you get to the penguin, you'll see this.

You press the space bar to scare the dummy penguin. You're aiming to press the space bar when it get's inside the green section. I suggest pressing the space bar just before it goes into the green section for the best scare.

Since this game goes on forever until you lose all your lives, you can quit whenever you want. You'll get points based on how many scares you got.

Not only do these points contribute to your team's score, you can use these to buy costumes! Click on the scare tank in the top right hand corner.

Each day there's new costumes unlocked. There's one item that everyone can get, and the rest are for members. If you're a member, I'd suggest saving up for either the Mike or Squishy costume first so you can start scaring real penguins!

The good thing about these costumes is that you can wear any item with them and you can still scare penguins. To scare other penguins, simply walk up to them and press "D."

All your points go into your scare tank. I'm not sure what happens when it fills up, but I'll post about it when I get it full.

There's six new emotes, a glasses emote, a one eyed emote and the four team foam hand emotes.

That's the party! I'll post about the new costumes when they come out, but until then... Enjoy the party!!!

My Penguin 1.1

Hey everyone! My Penguin's first ever updated has arrived!

There's a couple of new things in this update. It says it all in the updates screen, but I'm going to go into them in further depth. The main updates are in the games section. The cave and underwater levels have been added to Puffle Rescue.

The legend levels have been added to Pufflescape.

And you can now play Card-Jitsu Snow!

You can view most things here. You can buy 3 power cards for 1,500 coins like in the Marshal Arts catalog.

You can check your power cards.

You can view the Card-Jitsu Snow Saga videos.

And you can check your Card-Jitsu Snow progress.

You can play normal Card-Jitsu Snow. It's the same except where you'd use the mouse, you just tap with your finger.

You can also battle Tusk.

The only other new thing is the clothing catalog which has been updated with new items.

There's also a 1.1.1 update for My Penguin that's just come out, but that just fixes some bugs and adds some
new backgrounds to the clothing catalog. Well, I think this update is awesome! I hope Club Penguin adds more games like Card-Jitsu Fire in the future.

Hey everyone! Polo Field has officially announced the Star Wars party that's coming in July!

"Hello Penguins!

We're incredibly excited to share some HUGE news with all of you. In fact, this might be the biggest party announcement EVER.
Brace yourself...

Over the years, we've received thousands of comments, emails and phone calls, all asking for one thing... You asked and we listened! Check out this EPIC special video announcement...

That's right! The all-new Star Wars Takeover is coming to Club Penguin in July!!

Get ready to save the galaxy next month...

Until then... Waddle On and May The Force Be With You!"

Awesome! I can't wait for this party, and June's party hasn't even started yet! Speaking of parties, Spike Hike tweeted a sneak peek of possibly August's party.

I think it's not going to be Music Jam, but it will involve music and possibly the Penguin Band. You can view this post here.

Star Wars Party!!!

Hey everyone! Since Operation Blackout, there hasn't been much activity on clubherbert.com. But recently, Club Penguin updated it!

Now, it might just look like a pretty background with small copyright text down the bottom. But let's zoom in on that text.

It says copyright Star Wars and Lucasfilm Ltd, which not only means that this background is owned by Lucasfilm, there's going to be a Star Wars party on Club Penguin in either July or August! Yessssss!!!! I've been waiting for this since Disney bought Star Wars! This is going to be awesome! You can check out clubherbert.com by clicking here.

Puffle Digging Guide

Hey everyone! Puffle Digging has arrived!

The Puffle Handbook has been updated with this page, but it doesn't really tell you much about Puffle Digging. So, grab your Puffle and let's go!

So, to get digging, walk your Puffle and go to any room. When you get to a room, press W so you wave. It won't happen instantly, it may take a couple of tries. If it doesn't work, move to another spot and try again. But when it does work, you'll see this.

Congratulations! You've found treasure! A pop down bar should appear on the top right of your screen when this happens telling you how much coins you dug up. Each Puffle has their own style of digging. I'm not sure if Flare can dig up coins yet, because after finding two lots of coins, I just couldn't find any more. I'll put it up on here if I can find any more. I'm not sure if this is a bug or there's a limit on coin digging. There are also five new Puffle Digging stamps that you can find in the activities category.

Apart from the coin limit/bug, I'm pretty happy with this. I'm glad Club Penguin added a new feature to walking your Puffle. What do you think of Puffle Digging?
