Rooms to Stay

Hey everyone! If you've read this week's Club Penguin Times, then you might've already heard. If you haven't, then it's been announced that two of the updated rooms are here to stay!

In the newspaper's Ask Aunt Arctic column, Aunt Arctic announced that the current look of the Mine Shack is here to stay!

The inside of the School will return to normal, though. The other room that is here to stay is the brand new Skatepark!

Even after the School & Skate Party finishes, penguins will still be able to perform cool skateboard tricks at the Skatepark.

Awesome! I'm really happy that the Skatepark is staying for good! It's my favorite room at this party, and it's really cool as well! Are you excited for the new, permanent rooms?

Building Schools and Giving Backpacks

Hey everyone! Polo Field has posted some more information on Club Penguin's involvement in building schools!

"We think every kid should have a place to learn, and that's why this year we've built school classrooms in Ecuador, India, and Haiti. And gave 14,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need across the United States and United Kingdom.

Changes, Changes and Changes!

Hey everyone! After a long term, I'm finally on school holidays! This means that, hopefully, I can spend more time working on this blog than I have been. I think it's time for some changes. We've had this header and background for almost a full year, and I think it's time to change them. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments. Also, I've learned a lot over this past term, so you might see some changes to the blog design itself. I don't think I say this often, but if you read this blog once a week, or even if you've only read it once, thank you for reading! =D

Building Schools for Kids in Need

Rookie - School & Skate Party 2014

Hey everyone! Rookie was put in charge of organizing this month's party. As usual, he got a bit confused, and the gym ended up being the chemistry room. To help us clean up, Rookie is waddling around the island, and you can meet him!

Rookie has no new background for this party, but if you haven't met him yet, you have a chance to collect it.

As always, Club Penguin have been nice enough to release some meetup times for Rookie, which you can view here. I think Rookie's always pretty easy to find. You just have to listen out for the sound of fragile things smashing.

School & Skate Party 2014 Guide

Hey everyone! Grab your lunch, finish your homework and pack your bags because school has begun!

When you first log in, Rookie will give you a backpack and some information about the party. First, let's check out some of the rooms!

The Forest has been changed into a quiet park, the Mine Shack has been changed into a college campus and the Stage has been changed into a massive mall! Before we get too involved in shopping, let's check out the backpack icon, which is located in the top-right of your screen.

Everyone can collect a free Limited Edition Backpack by clicking the "collect" button underneath it. The School and Skate party is pretty similar to the Frozen Party in terms of quests. There are three hidden items in each of the decorated rooms that you have to find. Once you've found each item in a room, you unlock two items; one for everyone and one for members only. When you've found all the items, you can unlock a big reward!

Here's the location of each hidden item in each room. Prepare yourself!

Once you've collected all the items, Rookie will appear.

Yay, we've saved Rookie from detention! That's not the best thing, though. The best thing is Club Penguin is not only going to build schools in Ecuador, Haiti and India, they're also going to send over 14,000 backpacks to students! How awesome is that? To celebrate, everyone can collect the free Schoolhouse Igloo. Phew, I'm a bit worn out by all this searching. Let's relax with some INTENSE SKATING!!!

The Skatepark isn't just a decorated room, it's a completely new room that's been added to the map! It's located next to the Mine Shack and above the Cove.

If you're a member, you can collect a free skateboard and helmet for free by going into the backpack icon and pressing the "collect" button under each of the items.

Even though everyone is able to access the Skatepark, only members can perform tricks in the Skatepark. To do a trick, all you have to is click on the arrow in front of the area you want to perform in.

My favorite trick is probably going over the ramp. As always, there are three new emotes, especially for the party.

There's a skater smiley emote, a skateboard emote and an apple emote. Cool! I really like this party. I think it's probably one of the better ones Club Penguin have had this year. Is this one of your favorite parties so far?

Building Schools

Hey everyone! Club Penguin has teamed up with Free the Children to build three schools in three countries! They've put a short video about it on their home page, which you can access on the bar below the home screen image.

Daffo Doodles: Frozen Party!

We received sooo many drawings for the latest Daffo Doodles challenge that it took me longer than expected to look at them all! Thanks to everyone who sent an epic Frozen Party doodle. UK Magazine - Issue #35

Chattabox's Pyjama Party!

Hey everyone! Chattabox has invited us to a pyjama party!

"G'Day Penguins,

I can't believe it's September already - just over 3 months until Christmas YIIIPPPPEEEEEE! I took a picture of me writing my Christmas list earlier this week... It's a long one!

On a different note, I've been trying to come up with my ultimate September fashion-theme... and I've decided on 'Sleep-Wear September'. I mean, who doesn't love spending the whole day in their pyjamas in front of a fire?!

This week I'm going to hold a pyjama party in my iggy! Come along in your favourite sleep-wear and bring along your favourite treats; popcorn, ice-cream, or pizza! I'll make sure to decorate my igloo with the coolest items and have the dance floor ready so you can strut your stuff. I can't wait!

Let's meet in the Forest on the Down Under server on Thursday 18th September. Here are the times:

School & Skate Party Concept Art

But, I think it's cool to look back and see where the room art started. It's a great peek into how the artists work. And then, during the party, you get to see the finished, polished rooms! It's crazy seeing how much work goes into drawing a room.

Furniture & Igloo Catalog September 2014

Hey everyone! If you've ever wanted to turn your igloo into a school, you can now with September's furniture and igloo catalog!

On the igloo side of things, there's three new igloos!

The Sharks' Gym is completely new, and the Magical Hideout and Split Level Snow Igloo have returned to the catalog.

There's three new pages of school themed furniture for your igloo. There's only one new hidden item in this catalog, and it's the Diving Board, which you can get by clicking on the Inner Tube.

Awesome! I think all this new furniture would be great in creating a fun and modern school. Are you going to create a school in your igloo?

Hey everyone! Club Penguin has updated our igloo music list with some school themed tracks!

The new tracks are: Starting Fresh, Sk8 Skool, Shark Beatz, Starting Fresh 8-bit, Starting Fresh Elevator, Brown Puffle Lab and University Rally. Which track is your favorite? My favorite track would have to be Sk8 School. It has just got a really good beat to it.
